1. Scope and roles
This notice supplements the WDL Research Privacy Policy for California residents when California privacy law applies. MSM may act as a business for website and business-contact information, or as a service provider/contractor when processing project information under a client’s instructions. The role depends on the facts and contract.
2. Categories and purposes
Depending on the interaction, categories may include identifiers and business contact details; internet or electronic activity information; commercial and professional information; enquiry, RFQ and project information; and in limited research contexts, participant-related information supplied under project instructions. Uses and disclosure categories are described in the main Privacy Policy.
3. Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
MSM does not sell website-enquiry information for money, and the current public website code does not activate cross-context behavioral advertising trackers. Research sample operations may involve project-specific transfers among clients, platforms and approved suppliers. Whether a transfer is legally a sale or sharing depends on the project facts and applicable law.
4. California rights
Subject to applicability, verification and legal exceptions, California residents may request information about collection, use and disclosure; access or correction; deletion; opt out of applicable sale or sharing; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a right.
5. Requests and authorized agents
Submit a request through the Contact page and identify it as a California privacy request. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority and jurisdiction. Authorized agents may be required to provide authorization, and direct verification may still be requested. When MSM acts only for a client, the request may be referred to that client.
6. Request administration
Privacy requests are documented, verified and handled according to the law that applies to the request and MSM’s role in the relevant processing.
7. Contact
Use the WDL Research Contact page for California privacy questions or rights requests. Do not submit highly sensitive information through the general message field.
